At this year’s SPE Valka is presenting the latest in cutting edge grading and scanning technology.

The company will be sharing a stand with its partners, the Faeroese MEST P/f, and Norwegian turnkey solution provider First Process. Together Valka and MEST will line up the latest technology to deliver the perfect packs of fillets.

Valka is showcasing the RapidAligner connected with the MEST Vision Scanner. Valka’s RapidAligner gently and accurately grades fish fillets into fixed weight boxes where the fillets are aligned fully automatically into the boxes.

The grader can accurately pack big salmon fillets, up to 800mm long, without any reduction in throughput at an impressive 45-50 fillets per minute or up to 6,000kg per hour. The Valka RapidAligner grader can also put plastic sheets fully automatically between fillet layers while packing into interleaved packs.

The final product that will complement Valka’s RapidAligner and Rapid Trade and MEST’s Vision Scanner at is the Danish InnospeXion’s award winning X-ray scanner. InnospeXion’s new X-Ray machine is a stand alone scanner used with unprecedented accuracy to detect bones down to 0.1mm in size and is therefore very valuable for any producers who want to guarantee their production as bone free.
