Orders flow in for DSI
Danish manufacturer of plate freezers A/S Dybvad Stål Industri (DSI) will supply the Icelandic company SJOLASKIP H.F with 69 vertical plate freezers for its recently purchased vessels.
It will be the largest single order DSI has ever received, beating the supply of 48 vertical plate freezers for Atlantic Dawn.
The freezers have already been delivered and a second delivery is expected later this month.
The Danish ice manufacturer has also announced another order of 19 large horizontal plate freezers for the Namibian company MEATCO.
DSI says that these large orders and the contracts received lately from Russia, USA, Poland, France, Singapore and Bosnia have secured a very good start to the new year.
DSI's export manager Peter Nygaard Christensen believes that companies choose the company's plate freezers for reasons such as the special design of the freezing plates, which, according to customers, uses faster freezing time compared to its competitors.
An easy to clean design, a fast and secure delivery time and the quality of the plate freezers are also advantages of DSI according to Christensen.
DSI has installed more than 150 CO2 plate freezers in different industries with savings of up to 50 per cent on freezing time in most cases.
