Following the highly successful presentation of the ASEAN-SEAFDEC Millennium Fisheries Exhibition in Bangkok in November 2001, Baird Events, the Danish Export Association and the Thai Overseas Fisheries Association have been sufficiently encouraged to announce a regular successor event. To be called “Asiafish”, the event is planned to be held in late November every second year from 2008 in the Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel in Bangkok.
The sixth edition of The World's most important fisheries event will return to Vigo September 16th to 19th 2009. The last event in 2003 saw almost 800 companies from 80 nations converging to Vigo to do business. Over 70,000 world wide professionals attended the show spending an estimated EUR 400 million. And the features that makes the World Fishing Exhibition the leader, like the Conference of Fisheries Ministers and the wide ranging seminar programme, will again ensure that the event helps define strategies that will drive the industry forward. Only taking place every six years this is one fisheries event no one can afford to miss.
